Celebrities are always harking on about how they borrow designer clothes, that they don’t actually own these things. It doesn’t stop me being envious though!
With fashion comes drama, and last weeks Rosemount Australian Fashion Week provided us a good mixture of both. The emphasis on the economic crisis was hovering over our designers and event organisers’ heads, but that didn’t stop the amazing showcase of Australian designer talent that took the floor for 5 busy days of fashion.
Day one of the RAFW had gloomy prospects, but the Australian designs were anything but. The economic downturn may have disrupted consumer-shopping choices, but it did not effect the A-league fashion’s finest.
The economic crisis may have put a halt on many fashion splurges but Australian designers are still providing us with something new. As they say in show business, “the show must go on” and Rosemount Australian Fashion Week (RAFW) is going to do just that.
