Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen haven’t been in the press lately for their acting skills. The column inches have piled up mainly due to their fashion endeavors.

As well as looking effortlessly cool and gorgeous, the twins have been awarded a prestigious fashion honour in recognition of their work as clothes designers, and thus their contribution to fashion. They’ve been inducted into the Council of Fashion Designers of America for their work on their two labels: The Row, named after London’s Savile Row, and Elizabeth & James.
The 23-year-old actresses are among 31 designers that have been named in this year’s list of inductees. They’ll receive their honour from CDFA President Diane von Furstenberg at an intimate dinner ceremony in New York in October.
