Past award winners have included famous Australian designers Toni Maticevski and Yeojin Bae who have gone on to expand their fashion labels overseas.

The LMFF also provided fashion lovers with the first fashion collection of 2009. The show, hosted by Sussan had a bundle of Autumn/Winter fashion on display. The amount of designs on the catwalk left fashion viewers in awe, most noticeably the Boho theme back in for the Autumn/Winter display.
