Cristiano Ronaldo has finally stamped himself as an underwear pin up model, much to the delight of the females across the world.

But the good news for Ronaldo comes as bad news for LA Galaxy Star David Beckham.

Fashion designer label Armani last week decided to replace the blonde haired Englishmen for the brown haired, Portuguese sensation.

The Real Madrid soccer star will now be the face, and body of the Italian designer label.

New photos from the launch depict the 24 year-old showing off his chiselled abs and defined physique.

Georgio Armani, the brains behind the label, said he was ecstatic of securing Ronaldo as the new male behind the brand.

“Cristiano is a great-looking young man with the perfect physique of an athlete,” he said.

“For me, he is the essence of youth – spontaneous, exciting and a real maverick. It is for his energy that I have chosen Cristiano to become the new face of Armani Jeans and Emporio Armani Underwear – for his youthful, exciting, and, yes, sexy attitude.”

According to Ronaldo, he was just happy to be part of such a well-respected brand.

“Giorgio Armani is a legend in the fashion world and I have long been a fan of his work,” Ronaldo said.

“I am very pleased with the pictures we have done together – they are certainly striking and are full of attitude and a spirit I can relate to.”

The addition of Ronaldo comes just days after actress Megan Fox, who rose to fame with her role in the movie Transformers, was named the new female face of the designer threads.
