Chanel, the most recognisable fashion label throughout the world has yet again revamped its image. Chanel have chosen French actress Audrey Tautou to become the fresh new face for their signature fragrance Chanel No. 5.
Following in footsteps of celebrities Nicole Kidman and Catherine Deneuve, Tautou will represent the famous fashion house and promote the Chanel No. 5 fragrance.
Chanel are renowned for their fashion image, and always have a short film to promote the famous perfume.
This year, the film is directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet and portrays a sensual encounter between a man and women who brush past one another on a night train.
Tautou will play the role of Chanel’s founder Coco Chanel and will represent the luxury fashion house for the rest of the year.
Tautou said the excitement of the offer hasn’t quite sunk in, finding it difficult to believe she is the face of the legendary fragrance.
The perfume was created by Chanel in 1921 and has remained the number one selling fragrance around the world.
