Lukegan likes to compare its flip wallets to that of the ideal girlfriend – They are sexy, the ideal size and shape, they are 100 per cent real, they hold up to eight credit cards, as much money as you can throw at them and, most importantly, the swing both ways!

While they are spot on with the analogy, there are many other descriptive words that could be used to describe the new design in unisex wallets: classy, unique, smooth, smart, elegant, sexy and of course innovative.

What Lukegan has done is make everyday life that little bit easier thanks to a simple, but ultra classy wallet design.

For those of you who are new to the concept of flip wallets, the principle is simple: you have two rectangular pieces of leather held together with in-built elastics.

Credit cards can slot into each side of the wallet, while money can be held in between them.

The best part about the Lukegan flip wallet is that it eliminates what we hate about normal wallets - the hassle of loose change, the annoying bulgy sizes and the inconvenience of misplacing items within them.

However, as is the case with most classy designs when they begin to gain popularity, the flip wallet has been a victim of its own success with many mock versions and cheap imitations of the wallets being sold around the world.

They vary from promotional giveaways, to boutique brands trying to match the quality delivered by Lukegan.

Unfortunately, they all fail to do so, but fortunately for us we still have the comfort of knowing Lukegan flip wallets are still on the market, and knowing that they are still providing us with the highest quality hand-stitched leather flip-wallets available today.

For more information on the flip wallet design, or on how to buy one, check out the website www.lukegan.com

Summer is the season for shirts, shorts and thongs. While thongs and shorts are great ways of complementing an outfit, they do not really dictate the entire get-up, and therefore it is essential to have expressive shirts that really make the outfit you are wearing.

One store that believes in this theory is the T-Bar in Australia.

T-Bar believes the T-Shirt is the most dominant form of personal expression and that individualistic, style-driven, high quality T-Shirts are essential in this day and age.

The store regularly injects new styles and flavours in to the fashion industry, and one of their best ideas is to maintain individuality.

The T-Bar has a policy whereby no particular design can have more than 50 cuts nationwide. This reduces the chance of seeing someone else with your shirt on, and increases the individuality aspect of clothing.

To spread the creative vibe and the idea that art and design can be worn, the T-Bar also invites local and international artists to create their very own T-Bar designs.

There are frequent guests artists and numerous one of designs by random student designers.

The T-Bar franchise has 14 stores across Australia and one in Singapore, and the chain really has an underground cult feel to it.

They do not advertise and are solely driven by word of mouth.

The T-Bar really is a must see store for all the t-shirt lovers across the world, and with no shirt more than $40, they are also a bargain deal.

Those big, black, stripy, things are back this year. And no, I don’t mean giraffes; I’m talking about the shoe accessories known largely as Gladiator Sandals.

Gladiator sandals are those sandals that look more like an accessory a prostitute might wear, rather than a summer time relaxing style of footwear.

If you had the guts to wear them last summer you better have the guts to wear them again this summer because there is word the fashion world expects them to become an even bigger hit this year.

The only difference from last season’s releases is that they will be taller and fringed in 2010.

So far this year they have been seen them used in a bunch of the spring fashion shows, and have been embraced by designers and experts in the field.

The good thing about Gladiator Sandals is that you can make any outfit interesting with them and if you don’t feel comfortable with the knee high length you can tone it down with the shorter calve length, or bootie length.

The gladiator comes in many styles so you can still wear it the way you want to, and tailor them to most outfits.

Gladiator Sandals retail at a number of selected and boutique stores and range in their prices depending on the designer and quality of the product.

Akris designer Albert Kriemler has probably been well known for his efforts in the fashion industry, but never really for his work in the Hang Bag market, until now.

Having so masterfully conquered the art of tasteful dressing, many thought he might not be able to cross the line into fashion accessories.

However, after an intimate launch of his label, and a sneak peak at the Swiss company’s Manhattan showroom, we can safely say that the designs are nothing short of world class, as we should have expected from a man like Kriemler.

The range of his bags all incorporate nomadic Mongolian horsehair in ranging from the handle to a full façade courtesy of Comtesse, an 80-year-old German firm specializing in the manufacture of woven horse hair.

Kriemler himself is no stranger to the material: it’s been used to line garments and coats in his previous line of work.

One of the favourites in the line is the “Amata” bag, largely because of its sheer practicality: not only is the clutch frame detachable for convenient cleaning, but the larger version features a convertible version that snaps on with ease.

Kriemler is also experimenting with new fabrics like Dalmatian and cashmere and his line is expected to expand dramatically over the next few years.

In short, Albert Kiemler’s handbags are definitely something to shout about and get excited about carrying one around with you.

The collection ranges from $3,000 to $8,000 and is available at selected boutique fashion stores.

Every year we welcome new trends and say goodbye to the old, outdated styles we were so used to the year before.

This year, it seems one of the trends which is taking over is the use of the plain t-shirt.

Plain shirts are something that was almost frowned upon a few years ago.

Wearing a t-shirt with no graphics on it, no pattern, and no design on it generally meant that you were too poor to be able to afford a designer shirt, or just way behind the styles to know any better.

Years later, however, and the times are much different.

With the public becoming bored with the never ending designs, and the overboard lengths clothing labels are going to to ensure they are different and stand out above the rest, the public seem to be shifting back towards the safety of plain t-shirts.

The good thing about plain shirts is that they can go with anything, and as there is no design or pattern, they match better with most clothes you have.

In addition, they do not distract people when they talk to you, and sub consciously others will be more focused on your face and eyes than on what you are wearing.

Finally, one of the greatest benefits of plain t-shirts is the cost.

Designer shirts generally retail around the fifty-dollar mark, but plain shirts are going for half of that, meaning you can basically get two for one!

The best thing about the 90s being so long ago is the fact that we are now able to ‘bring back’ what we loved so much about the previous decade.

In the 90s it was all about bright, fluro colours with ridiculous over-sized clothes and accessories.

One of the most popular designs in the era was in the sunglass department, and in particular, the Oakley range.

Let’s not beat around the bush anymore, the pair we are talking about is the Oakley Frogskins – a unisex pair of shades which protect your eyes, while ensuring you are keeping up with the highest fashion trends.

The unisex pair of sunnies have been such a poplar choice for so long due to a couple of simple reasons.

For one, they carry a sleek, light and stylish design, which is pretty damn good on the eye.

Secondly, they are an amazingly durable, sturdy, and party proof pair of sunglasses, allowing you to act like an idiot with them on, and not have to worry about breaking an am, or scratching them too badly.

After being a huge hit in the 90s, Oakley decided to create an updated re-run of the line last year.

The public loved them and now this summer we are already beginning to find stores loading up with the super cool design.

If there is one set of shades to keep your eye on in 2010, it is the new Oakley Frogskins.

It seems the times are changing in the foot fashion department, with a strong shift away from the white shoe, and a surge in popularity in the black shoe.

For a long time white shoes were the buyers’ choice with the neutral colour complimenting any style of clothes and giving people that clean, fresh look.

This year, however, we are seeing a shift away from the conventional trend with black shoes being the new ‘in’ thing.

Spring Carnival has come, and is just about to go, and with it came a great look at what is going to be new this summer in regards to fashion.

One trend that was obvious during the past month has been the omission, or cringing, at white shoes worn with formal wear.

Numerous fashion publications, and online sites, have criticised punters for wearing the clean colour, saying it is a fashion trend that has finally been phased out, and long gone.

Either way, people will continue to wear the white shoe regardless of who says it is good or not.

Some of the bad traits of the colour is the common problem of dirt ruining the look.

It is almost near impossible to venture out for a big night without coming home to a darkened and filthy pair of white shoes.

Let’s face it, white shoes are damn hard to keep clean, and when they are not clean they look cheap and dirty.

Black shoes, on the other hand, are easy to keep respectable, and do just as good a job of being complimentary as its opposite colour.

The wrong one can completely drain you, making you look ill, but the right colour can transform your look, making you look younger and more radiant.

The task of finding the right shade becomes more difficult if you don’t have an honest friend there to tell you what to go for and what to avoid. Here is a basic guide to stick to if your friend is indisposed!

If you have:
- Black or dark brown hair, olive skin and blue, brown, hazel or green eyes: go for bright navy blue, royal purple, pillar box red, emerald green and fuchsias. If this is too bold then try icy pastels.
- Dark hair, fair skin and blue, brown, hazel or green eyes: go for jewel hues such as emerald green, Chinese blue or ruby red.
- Golden brown, red, auburn or chestnut hair, fair skin and dark brown, hazel or green eyes: go for warm colours such as orange, gold, apricot, salmon, bright yellow, green and blues.
- Golden or light red hair, olive skin and dark brown, hazel or green eyes: go for brights like orange, tomato red, citrus, purple and jade.
- Blonde, golden brown or red hair, fair skin and blue coloured eyes: go for yellow-based colours like peach, camel and golden yellow. Other colours to look out for are ivory, bright green, red and clear blues.
