Having so masterfully conquered the art of tasteful dressing, many thought he might not be able to cross the line into fashion accessories.

However, after an intimate launch of his label, and a sneak peak at the Swiss company’s Manhattan showroom, we can safely say that the designs are nothing short of world class, as we should have expected from a man like Kriemler.

The range of his bags all incorporate nomadic Mongolian horsehair in ranging from the handle to a full façade courtesy of Comtesse, an 80-year-old German firm specializing in the manufacture of woven horse hair.

Kriemler himself is no stranger to the material: it’s been used to line garments and coats in his previous line of work.

One of the favourites in the line is the “Amata” bag, largely because of its sheer practicality: not only is the clutch frame detachable for convenient cleaning, but the larger version features a convertible version that snaps on with ease.

Kriemler is also experimenting with new fabrics like Dalmatian and cashmere and his line is expected to expand dramatically over the next few years.

In short, Albert Kiemler’s handbags are definitely something to shout about and get excited about carrying one around with you.

The collection ranges from $3,000 to $8,000 and is available at selected boutique fashion stores.

Bags, a definite fashion necessity. We love them, have many of them, and dislike them when they don’t fit what we need. But our love hate relationship with bags continues to blossom and we just can’t seem to get enough.

We can never have too many bags; they are truly a part of our fashion style. But it is men that haven’t seemed to click on to the usefulness that bags provide.

But Australian label APC has released a new range of bags, suited to both men and women. Not that one would expect a man to own a bright coloured checked bag, but there are some in the collection that would do for that overnight stay.

The Mercurialist bags are made in Melbourne so it is a perfect way to stimulate our own fashion economy with our extra payments.

Dead Ponies bags make a different and unique style, and are made from good quality leather. These bags are designed to fit all the essentials and more.

And why not, who couldn’t go without another bag?

It seems that when Phoebe Philo left Chloé in 2006, we too left the Chloe world behind. There was no need to own a Chloe “it” bag and we moved on to other great designer bags.

We threw our chunky padlocked, silver hoop handled bags in the back of the closet and moved on to simple, stylish handbags.

But now Chloe is back, and 2009 is the year when we should get back on board the Chloe train. With new designer Hannah MacGibbon, comes a new Chloe style, giving us a range of new reasons to love Chloe again.

Now, we can purchase that ultra sexy-girlie look that Chloe provides and can get in touch with your feminine side.

This year Chloe have a range of trophy bags and must-have shoe designs, making it almost impossible for us to resist.

2009 is the year where we need to be smart with our fashion choices, investing in a high quality long lasting bag instead of a one-season-wonder.

The quality of Chloe bags are high quality designs, sporting soft slouchy leather and rich hues, designed for the ultimate Chloe impact.
