Lukegan likes to compare its flip wallets to that of the ideal girlfriend – They are sexy, the ideal size and shape, they are 100 per cent real, they hold up to eight credit cards, as much money as you can throw at them and, most importantly, the swing both ways!

While they are spot on with the analogy, there are many other descriptive words that could be used to describe the new design in unisex wallets: classy, unique, smooth, smart, elegant, sexy and of course innovative.

What Lukegan has done is make everyday life that little bit easier thanks to a simple, but ultra classy wallet design.

For those of you who are new to the concept of flip wallets, the principle is simple: you have two rectangular pieces of leather held together with in-built elastics.

Credit cards can slot into each side of the wallet, while money can be held in between them.

The best part about the Lukegan flip wallet is that it eliminates what we hate about normal wallets - the hassle of loose change, the annoying bulgy sizes and the inconvenience of misplacing items within them.

However, as is the case with most classy designs when they begin to gain popularity, the flip wallet has been a victim of its own success with many mock versions and cheap imitations of the wallets being sold around the world.

They vary from promotional giveaways, to boutique brands trying to match the quality delivered by Lukegan.

Unfortunately, they all fail to do so, but fortunately for us we still have the comfort of knowing Lukegan flip wallets are still on the market, and knowing that they are still providing us with the highest quality hand-stitched leather flip-wallets available today.

For more information on the flip wallet design, or on how to buy one, check out the website www.lukegan.com

Those big, black, stripy, things are back this year. And no, I don’t mean giraffes; I’m talking about the shoe accessories known largely as Gladiator Sandals.

Gladiator sandals are those sandals that look more like an accessory a prostitute might wear, rather than a summer time relaxing style of footwear.

If you had the guts to wear them last summer you better have the guts to wear them again this summer because there is word the fashion world expects them to become an even bigger hit this year.

The only difference from last season’s releases is that they will be taller and fringed in 2010.

So far this year they have been seen them used in a bunch of the spring fashion shows, and have been embraced by designers and experts in the field.

The good thing about Gladiator Sandals is that you can make any outfit interesting with them and if you don’t feel comfortable with the knee high length you can tone it down with the shorter calve length, or bootie length.

The gladiator comes in many styles so you can still wear it the way you want to, and tailor them to most outfits.

Gladiator Sandals retail at a number of selected and boutique stores and range in their prices depending on the designer and quality of the product.

The best thing about the 90s being so long ago is the fact that we are now able to ‘bring back’ what we loved so much about the previous decade.

In the 90s it was all about bright, fluro colours with ridiculous over-sized clothes and accessories.

One of the most popular designs in the era was in the sunglass department, and in particular, the Oakley range.

Let’s not beat around the bush anymore, the pair we are talking about is the Oakley Frogskins – a unisex pair of shades which protect your eyes, while ensuring you are keeping up with the highest fashion trends.

The unisex pair of sunnies have been such a poplar choice for so long due to a couple of simple reasons.

For one, they carry a sleek, light and stylish design, which is pretty damn good on the eye.

Secondly, they are an amazingly durable, sturdy, and party proof pair of sunglasses, allowing you to act like an idiot with them on, and not have to worry about breaking an am, or scratching them too badly.

After being a huge hit in the 90s, Oakley decided to create an updated re-run of the line last year.

The public loved them and now this summer we are already beginning to find stores loading up with the super cool design.

If there is one set of shades to keep your eye on in 2010, it is the new Oakley Frogskins.

However, Lily isn’t stupid, she is taken full advantage of the fact that she’s hot property around the world at the moment. She’s always been a bit of a fashion trendsetter, with her quirky dresses and ever-changing hair colour, but she’s become somewhat of a fashion icon the last few months; she shed a few pounds, has recently been seen advertising Channel with Karl Largerfeld and is now launching her own jewellery range. What’s next for Lily?!

Lily Allen’s new jewellery collection is now available in Australia exclusively through Trilby Phoenix. They are currently taking pre-orders for an early November delivery, so expect this to be big. Trilby Phoenix will be the collection’s only Australian stockist.

Lily Allen’s jewellery line offers a taste of her electric London style within an achievable price bracket. The collection showcases Lily’s unique, quirky sense of fashion and features a range of whimsical motifs; from the flamingo pendant to the poodle earrings. All very bling with gold and coloured crystals these are certainly eye-catching statement pieces. For the fun, young fashionista who loves to mix things up.

Olivia Newton-John and high profile milliner and accessory designer, Kerrie Stanley have got together to create a stunning range of limited edition headbands to raise money for Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Centre Appeal.

$100 from each sale will be contributed to the Centre and Olivia has personally signed every one. She says; “I’m very thankful to Kerrie for producing this range and making such a significant contribution to the Cancer and Wellness Centre. The headbands are simply gorgeous”.

Kerrie chose to support the Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Centre Appeal out of an immense appreciation for its emphasis on the connection between mind, body and spirit. She says; “I lost my father to cancer 12 years ago and I just have so much respect for the approach Olivia’s Centre is taking. I was keen to introduce headbands into my collection and saw the creation of this new line an opportunity to do something for a really good cause”.

The charity celebrity-signed collection consists of 100 hand-crafted headbands featuring sumptuous ribbons, buttons, netting and other vintage materials. No two pieces are the same so you’ll be getting something totally unique. Kerrie has taken her inspiration from 1920’s art deco styling and the result is chic sophistication translated via a burgeoning trend. Kerrie says; “I think we’re going to see a lot more headbands this racing season. Goodbye fascinator, hello headband! The great thing about headbands is that they’re so much more versatile than hats or fascinators. This collection is really designed as evening wear as much as race-wear”.

Kerrie has featured some of the more enduring colours from the Spring/Summer 09 palette in the range, including black, charcoal, red, purple and gold. Each headband is lined with felt which ensures it stays in place long after Cinderella’s pumpkin carriage has arrived.

The Kerrie Stanley charity celebrity-signed headband collection is available from 1st September 2009 at www.kerriestanley.com or from Melbourne stockist, That Perfect Day – 388 High Street, Armadale. Headbands are $230.

The summer is coming! And the fashion world are all over it. Lydia Jewels have just launched a new collection called Sunset Boulevard, which perfectly encapsulated the summer vibe.

Inspired by gorgeous sunsets and steamy nights, ‘Sunset Boulevard’ is a bright, eclectic collection perfectly created to complement summer wardrobes! She is spot on trend here with the textures and bright colours, plus they’re reasonably priced so you don’t have to break the bank either.

The designer Lydia Jane-Saunders captures the romance and glamour of this very special time in the day – day slowly slips into night and the sky is flooded with intense hues of pinks and oranges as the wild things come out to play.

Lydia is an international stylist and jewellery designer. Sunset Boulevard is her second collection (so she’s one to watch) of statement gems using vintage finds and Sworovski crystals with elegant rosequartz, coral and turquoise. In homage to the famous Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood, each piece is named after old and modern screen icons – the elegant ‘Audrey’ drop earrings in silver with pink jewels, ‘Milla’ brooches in the shape of a swan, ‘Natasha’ necklace with diamante bow tie or the lavish ‘Scarlet’ gold necklace with leaf pendant.

Prices range from $39-$357 from www.lydiajewels.com

A big trend for next year is going to be 1940s glamour, be a head of the rest by stocking up on some statement sparklers with Chelsea de Luca.

The Chelsea de Luca label was born over five years ago after Chelsea decided to take the leap from advertising to follow her passion. Always having a strong desire to run her own business, Chelsea has never looked back and has gone from strength to strength accumulating a host of celebrity fans along the way.

Whilst her formal training was in marketing and PR, according to the designer well-crafted, gob-smacking jewels is truly where her heart lies. Each of her pieces is handcrafted using Swarovski crystals resulting in a collection showcasing the finest costume jewellery we have seen to date.

The label is rooted in a strong belief that accessories maketh the outfit and costume jewellery gives individuality to any outfit. This is a mantra that has certainly worked for the designer, she has a strong celebrity following, which includes Beyonce, Elle Macpherson, Eva Mendes, Roisin Murphy, The Veronicas, Rose Byrne, Dannii & Kylie Minogue and Delta Goodrem.

Chelsea has drawn inspiration from the 1920s – 1940s with the heart & soul & passion of this era very clearly embedded in her designs. Chelsea believes that, “being able to wear vintage style jewellery pieces in a fresh modern way to make an outfit your own is the perfect way to create individuality. Pile on statement pieces – choose some large deco cuffs and layer or perhaps a large jaw dropping cocktail ring – the bigger and bolder the better.”

Chelsea de Luca is a designer to watch – with a true love for what she does, an innate understanding of what makes a beautiful piece of jewellery and a passion to be the best in her field, there is assured success on the horizon for the already coveted label. But don’t take our word for it, take a ganders at them yourself and prepare to drool.

Nicole Richie has come along way since she first got our attention as the bratty side-kick to Paris Hilton all those years ago of the first series of The Simple Life.

Since having her daughter Harlow last year, with rocker Joel Madden she’s had to grown up fast.

Her style has also developed making her somewhat of a fashion icon; her boho/hippie chic has beencoveted by many, even her maternity wear was lusted after by women who weren’t even pregnant!

Now Australian fashionistas can channel Nicole Richie’s enviable look with the launch of her jewellery collection House of Harlow 1960. She says that her line was born through Nicole’s love of the 1960s era – a time of flamboyance, social revolution, and of course, innovative fashion.

The result is a vibrant and eclectic 50 –piece collection which draws inspiration from African, Aztec, gypsy, native, tribal and street style and uses a range of modern materials including leather, chains, silk strings, feathers, and gold plated metals.

Nicole says: “I’ve always felt that great accessories are essential in every complete outfit and I wanted to create a collection that was easy to mix and match; to either wear alone as an everyday piece, or stack on to make more of a statement”.
